Release notes: Sagitech VMS 2.3

We are pleased to present the new version of Sagitech VMS 2.3. We have added new analytics modules and a developer kit for simplified integration. Our system has become more reliable, stable, functional and user-friendly. A significant part of the changes have been implemented taking into account your wishes.

Major changes:

• A developer’s Kit (SDK) for simplified integration.
  • The ability to implement extension modules (plugins) to connect to Sagitech. Plugins allow you to: generate events, subscribe to events, manage PTZ, manage recording, receive server status, manage objects, and implement external reactions to events.
  • The possibility of embedding libraries in the customer’s software. The functionality allows you to interact with the server, play realtime videos, archive videos, and manage objects.
• New analytics modules.
  • A neural network module for detecting abandoned objects. The module allows you to detect stationary objects (bag, bag or backpack) that are in the observation area for longer than a specified interval.
  • Neural network emergency detection module: detection of a distress signal (allows you to determine whether a person is sending an SOS signal to the camera (waving or raising his hands above his head)) and the detection of a person’s fall (allows you to determine the condition of a person (walking, falling, lying)).
  • A neural network module for detecting phones. The module allows you to detect the presence of a phone in the crane cabin (including using the phone to watch videos, games).
  • Neural network module for personnel control. The module allows you to detect an employee on a video stream in a given work area. After the expiration of the inactivity period, an employee who leaves the zone will be considered absent from the workplace.
• Updated Web interface.
  • Audio support for H264 video in “Surveillance” mode.
  • Search for cameras in the “Surveillance” mode and when selecting cameras.
  • Support for hotkeys.
  • Added the “Remember me” flag on the authorization page.
  • Updated algorithm for processing H264 video streams.
  • Displaying the status of an archive entry in a cell with a camera in the “Surveillance” mode.
  • Added a transition to the archive based on an event in the alarm log.

Corrections:

• Tablets with built-in face recognition: synchronization errors.
• Alarm log: The time of the event may not be displayed correctly.
• Incorrect scaling of the alarm log icon when switching to full-screen mode.
• Interactive SpeedDome control: manual positioning errors.
• DirectX: When the length of the error text is exceeded, the text is pressed against the top of the cell.
• Error updating old configuration versions due to a database schema mismatch.
• Neural network detector: No alarm is generated through scripts.
• POS module: when opening the terminal settings, the port number is reset to the default value.
• POS module: cameras do not switch when viewing the archive of transactions.
• Archive: Files from cache directories are not always deleted.
• Memory leakage is possible when encapsulated in MPEG-TS/MP4 and encoded in AAC.
• Web interface: memory leak when playing the archive.
• Hikvision: The alarm is not triggered when the input port goes into an inactive state.
