We are pleased to present the new version of Sagitech VMS 2.4. We have expanded the functionality of the Enterprise and Complete editions, implemented PostgreSQL DBMS support and added new features. Our system has become more reliable, stable, functional and user-friendly. A significant part of the changes have been implemented taking into account your wishes.
Major changes:
- The functionality of the Enterprise and Complete editions has been expanded.
- A server status monitoring system has been implemented. The following are monitored: the location of the server on the network, the state of the disk subsystem, the state of the cameras, the depth of the archive, the status of the database. The ability to add custom monitoring parameters is supported. The data is being archived for retrospective analysis.
- A system for monitoring user actions has been implemented. The data is archived for building reports and analysis.
- The possibilities of restricting user access to the system have been expanded:
- Time restriction of user access.
- Restricting user access according to a schedule.
- Restriction of the user’s secondary login.
- Automatic termination of the user’s session in case of inactivity.
- The archive export has been updated. The Archive Export Wizard supports simultaneous export of video archive fragments from one or more cameras.
- The ability to simultaneously export an archive for multiple cameras.
- Archive fragments can be exported as separate files or combined into a single file.
- Overlay of analytics data and camera name when exporting to AVI.
- The ability to quickly select the resolution for AVI (maximum, average, minimum).
- Automatic splitting into multiple AVI files with a large amount of data to export.
- The PostgreSQL DBMS is supported for storing video archives and data from analytical modules. PostgreSQL provides improved performance for high-load systems.
- Sagitech VMS has been ported to Debian.
- Improved performance on systems with multiple monitors. The updated display algorithm provides a smoother display on clients with 3 monitors or more.
- Hardware integration.
- Expanding the functionality of drivers for Ati, Beward, Tiptronic, Geovision, Satvision.
- Improved synchronization with tablets with built-in face recognition.
- ONVIF: Improvements to the motion detector and improved driver detection when searching for ONVIF devices on the network.
- A modified module for interaction with cash register equipment (POS module).
- Overlay of POS analytics data in the archive.
- Display of the last receipt during playback initialization (real-time mode and archive).
- The ability to download the receipt data for the selected line in the transaction report.
- The ability to download the receipt data for the selected line in the transaction report.
- The ability to adjust the position and order of operations when outputting over the video stream.
- Support for loyalty card transactions.
- A revised report on receipts.
- The ability to customize the color scheme for various operations.
- Search for a receipt by product name or product code.
- Optimized transaction parsing.
Linux:
- The ability to remotely mount disks into a formatted system.
- Porting the LPR auto number recognition module to Linux.
- Support for obtaining statistics of Linux servers through the Server Monitoring utility.
- The ability to reset the server ID (for cloning configurations and then merging into a domain).
Minor changes:
- The ability to edit interactive maps without administrator rights.
- The ability to remotely restart the server (Enterprise, Complete).
- Improved configuration import/export for distributed systems.
- The ability to export alarm log data, count visitors according to a schedule.
- Advanced settings for scheduled export of auto number recognition module data.
- HTTP API: exporting a frame from the archive, extended descriptions when subscribing to events.
- The ability to configure the storage time of analytics data.
- Selective synchronization of user groups for tablets with built-in face recognition.
- SDK: The ability to use the SDK via ActiveX and from Delphi.
- SDK: the ability to hide the control panel and timeline when viewing the archive.
- SDK: the ability to load the boundaries of a record for a period, control the stretching of the image.
- The ability to customize the display of zones/trajectories/coordinates of objects for each cell (tracking, PPE neurodetector, neural network object detector).
- Advanced configuration of event filtering parameters from the PPE detection module in scenarios.
- Disabled the restriction on editing the admin account from under other accounts with administrator rights.
- The ability to set custom names for the PPE in order to match the terminology of the customer.
- Logging in/out from Web and mobile clients.
- Interactive maps: Microphone support.
Corrections:
- Sending variables for the “Execute TCP request” action does not work.
- The video blinks in real time when connection errors occur and when collapsing/unfolding.
- Interference when exporting audio to AVI.
- Desynchronize audio when exporting to AVI, if MP3 encoding is selected.
- Video freezes after locking the PC if DirectX acceleration is enabled.
- The fall of the facial recognition module on some processor models.
- Scripts are created, but they are not displayed when you log in again.
- The icons of the recordings are black when viewing the archive synchronously.
- Errors when calling the context menu of the objects section in observation mode.
- Sigur: Incorrect order of the Full name fields during synchronization.
- In an asynchronous archive (when displayed in a cell in real time), pressing the space bar does not start playback, but scrolls through the time scale.
- Motion detection by the built-in camera detector does not trigger scenarios.
- Enterprise does not support the creation of cash registers on different servers with the same settings.
- PPE: When auto-generation of alarms is disabled, the scripts in the module do not work.
- Linux: Synchronization errors of Enterprise servers due to the limitation on the length of the disk name.
- Linux: fixing errors in the display of some application windows on GNU/KDE.
- Linux: distortion of the frame associated with the event of the PPE module.
- Linux: It is not possible to disconnect the child server from the main server if the main server is not available.
- Linux: The basic settings of the application are deleted when the deb package is deleted.
- The display of zones for the neurodetector, the PPE detector and the tracker go beyond the boundaries of the cell when the image is zoomed.
- Server synchronization error due to a mismatch of the UID in the Active Directory user ID in the system.
