Release notes: Sagitech VMS 2.5

We are thrilled to unveil Sagitech VMS 2.5 — our most versatile release yet. The update introduces partial‑server synchronization that lets geographically dispersed sites act as one Enterprise domain, a completely redesigned web client for faster, more intuitive monitoring, and smarter AI modules that add face‑based time‑and‑attendance, search by facial attributes, and a new Transport mode for traffic congestion. Deeper Telegram integration, wider ONVIF and third‑party hardware support, and hundreds of stability and performance refinements make the platform even more reliable, secure, and user‑friendly. Many of these improvements come directly from your suggestions, and we thank you for helping shape the future of Sagitech.

Major changes:

• Updated Enterprise edition. A new partial‑server‑synchronization mode lets many geographically distributed servers that are unaware of each other be merged into a single domain managed by a master server.
• Updated web client:
  • New object panel in monitoring mode – a convenient tree with state synchronization and context menu, drag‑and‑drop of objects into view‑profile cells, and launching of user actions.
  • Redesigned camera‑selection window with bulk add, quick search, tree structure and frame previews.
  • Better algorithms for switching between primary and secondary streams.
  • Extra features: hide the object tree and clear a profile from the context menu.
• Face‑recognition module:
  • Time‑and‑attendance tracking with “Visit log” and “Working time” reports.
  • Forced re‑verification of unrecognized faces to optimize the module operation at the entrance gates.
  • New Search license: search by face, facial attributes or demographics (face detection included).
• Deeper Telegram integration: link a Telegram group to a VMS user and send messages to that group; faster request‑handling algorithm.
• Cash‑register module: integrated Axiom bank‑note counter; option to reset colour scheme and restore defaults.
• Hardware integration:
  • ONVIF – better compatibility plus alarm‑input‑state polling.
  • Extended drivers for Uniview, AltCam, HiWatch, Divisat, Hikvision, Rvi and Dahua.
  • Spinpark relay module integration.

Minor changes:

• Events can now be received from FireSec 3 Integration Client.
• Archive is more resilient to partial data loss; damaged indexes can be rebuilt to recover files.
• Archive playback optimised at >60× speed.
• SDK: support for external analytics modules and external HTTP‑request handlers.
• Camera/microphone filtering in live and archive modes.
• Queue detector: new Transport mode for road‑traffic congestion.
• Alarm log: event window now shows an attached image; export to Excel/CSV.
• Scripts: enable/disable analytics modules; send a pulse to USK‑04M port; set encoding and scroll body fields in HTTP‑request actions; filter Sigur ACS events by object ID; handle relay‑module inputs; control camera output ports.
• Linux: added HTTPS protocol support for client-server communication.
• Linux: porting of client and server under Ubuntu 24.
• Linux: porting of queue detector.
• Rotate camera images 90°, 180°, 270°.
• LPR: support new countries and regions, faster result generation.
• RSAPI loads the object tree.
• Interactive maps play sound while viewing camera video.
• Neural detector: asynchronous initialisation and better result averaging; left‑item detector has expanded zone settings.
• Schedules can now build visitor‑analytics reports (face recognition).

Fixes:

• Configurator could hang after a disconnect while the Disks section was open.
• API: last frame not cleared when loading /rsapi/archive/mjpeg.
• Archive: resources leaked when opening corrupted indexes/containers.
• FR: descriptors not cleared on detector destruction; extra‑field edit button broken; live video flickered after minimize/restore.
• Error removing a user’s Telegram link.
• Data synchronization issues between client windows during profile edits.
• Archive error “Unable to decompress video data”.
• Schedules: “Run during the day if missed” flag not saved.
• Archive not shown in event log for neural‑detector events.
• Maximised‑window position not remembered when moved with Win + Shift + Arrow.
• Zones sometimes not fully drawn in live view.
• Camera‑range scan search failed on Linux.
• Cash‑register: amount overlay misaligned; current terminal not highlighted.
• Translation corrections.
• Linux: numerous UI‑rendering bugs, memory leak in FR (“Bounding box dims must be positive”), video‑export failure via web, clipboard copy in tables, auto‑update flag resets, archive‑view state resets on new event, slow network‑disk initialization, and more.
• Selection state lost when using filter field in camera selector.
• Scripts: flag for removing empty intervals in visitor report not remembered.
• Playback speed ×64 not restored after timeline navigation.
