Release notes: Sagitech VMS 2.1

We are pleased to present the new version of Sagitech VMS 2.1. We have released the Complete edition and new analytics modules. Our system has become more reliable, stable, functional, and user-friendly. A significant part of the changes has been implemented with your feedback in mind.

Major changes:

• New Complete edition, combining all priority functions of the Enterprise edition and 17 analytics modules: license plate recognition, people counting, face detection, object tracking, smoke, fire, sabotage, and abandoned object detection, loud sound detector, heat maps, FishEye camera image dewarping, POS operation and staff activity monitoring, external microphone connection, interactive Speed Dome camera control, and a neural network object detector.
• New PPE detection module for workplace safety monitoring. The module can detect the following personal protective equipment: hard hat, surgical mask, life jacket, safety goggles, respirator, work gloves, safety footwear, coveralls, headphones, helmet strap, welding helmet, safety harness, lab coat, medical gloves, and protective face shield.
• New Neural Network Detector module for detecting people, vehicles, animals, and birds.
• New Heat Map module for assessing activity and movement intensity, identifying popular areas, and tracking the main movement routes of people or vehicles.
• Updated web interface: PTZ control, support for shared viewing profiles, archive export support, convenient display of profiles for large sites, and Safari support.
• New Interactive Dashboards section. It allows graphical display of reports for the POS module, people counting, and staff monitoring. Automatic chart refresh, chart generation by selected parameters, and export are available.
• Updated client-server interaction algorithm. Increased speed and end-to-end data encryption capability.
• Updated version of Sagitech VMS for Linux.
• Ability to configure shared viewing profiles for a group of users.
• Support for sending notifications to Telegram.

Minor changes:

• Face recognition module: “Recognition + Analytics” mode, employee monitoring, and generation of the “Attendance Log” and “Working Hours” reports.
• License plate recognition module: new “Parking Time Violation” report and highlighting of color-group license plates in Observation mode.
• Improved protection against password brute-force attacks and hacking attempts.
• Mobile clients: support for archive audio and shared viewing profiles.
• Online activation.
• Camera testing and debugging module.
• Integration with BAS-IP intercoms: door opening control.
• Motion detector: ability to filter events in scenarios by zones.
• Support for receiving POS receipts from external systems, such as 1C.
• Server optimization for systems with a large number of cameras.
• Optimization of archive recording and archive size control.
• People counting module: warning capability when the threshold number of people inside a room is exceeded.
• Ability to terminate client sessions from the Configurator.
• C# scenarios: ability to retrieve counter values and generate events.
• Ability to use the user’s main viewing profiles in additional application windows with synchronization support.
• Display of the server name in video cell headers.
• Alarm log: display of the server name in multi-server configurations.
• Updated libraries: people counting, queue detection, visitor analytics, and POS module.
• Ability to rename the server in Standard and Professional editions.
• Ability to additionally filter connection loss/restoration events by time.
• Ability to process the event “Unable to restore connection to the camera”.
