Abandoned Object Detector

The module allows you to detect abandoned items. A stationary object that remains in the surveillance area longer than the interval set by the system administrator is classified as an abandoned object. Information about it is sent to video surveillance operators and stored in the archive for later search and analysis.

Functional Features and Advantages

  • Detection of abandoned or removed objects in the monitored area, with real-time highlighting of detected objects on the screen.
  • Generation of alarm messages for detected events, with the option to resend them after a specified time interval.
  • Storage of information about abandoned and missing objects in the archive, with real-time display of event data.
  • Archive search for alarm events within a specified time range.
  • The abandoned object detector automatically records the appearance and/or disappearance of objects in a specified monitoring zone, significantly improving security operations and reducing the human factor.
  • Timely notification of unattended suspicious objects helps prevent threats to property and human life.
  • Saved images and video clips of detected objects can help during incident investigations.

Typical Solutions

MUSEUM / SHOPPING AND ENTERTAINMENT CENTER It is designed to monitor high-value cultural or material assets: paintings, sculptures, jewelry display cases, safes, ATMs, etc. The use of an intelligent module for detecting abandoned/removed items makes it possible to automate the monitoring of objects for which the storage location is strictly defined, promptly respond to changes in the location of protected items and prevent theft and reduce financial losses.
TRAIN STATION / AIRPORT / SUBWAY It helps security teams at major transport and logistics hubs improve the effectiveness of anti-terrorism measures. The use of the Sagitech abandoned object detector makes it possible not only to detect a suspicious object and notify law enforcement agencies, but also to quickly locate the relevant video segment to identify the person or group who left the object, as well as find the owners of lost items.
SAFE CITY It allows law enforcement agencies to use contextual video analytics to identify potentially dangerous situations in crowded places (in city squares and streets, in parks and stadiums, etc.) and promptly take counter-terrorism measures to protect law and order and ensure public safety.
