Queue detector

The module is designed to count people in queues coming into the field of view of IP video cameras. The use of a software analytical queue length detector makes it possible to perform quantitative analysis and monitor the dynamics of the queue state.

Functional features and advantages

  • Detection and quantitative analysis of queues in the control area.
  • The ability to configure queue definition parameters: minimum size, time interval and threshold value of the number of detected objects.
  • The ability to configure up to 6 control zones in the field of view of 1 camera.
  • Saving information about queues in the archive, displaying information in real time.
  • Generation of messages about a fixed event, the ability to resend messages after a specified time interval.
  • Search the archive for recorded queue detection events at a specified time interval.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the staff and improving the level of service. Adjustment of employee work schedules during peak hours.
  • Comparing statistics on attendance and long queues in the checkout area will allow you to determine the conversion of a point of sale and optimize its operation.

Typical solutions

RETAIL It is designed to detect and determine the length of the queue in the checkout areas of shops, retail chains, cinemas, banks, etc. Using a software analytical queue detector allows you to increase the speed and quality of customer service and avoid losing 30% of potential customers – according to statistics, every third person leaves the store without buying, not wanting to stand in line. Sharing with the Sagitech visitor counting module can significantly expand the functionality of the system, allowing you to analyze data on attendance and queue length in the checkout area, determine the conversion of a point of sale and evaluate the effectiveness of staff.
LOGISTICS It is designed to determine the value of traffic flow in large logistics hubs. Using a queue detector allows you to get information about the density of traffic flow at the current time. The analysis of such data makes it possible to control the congestion of transport hubs and adjust the route and schedule of official vehicles. Another application of the queue detection system may be the detection of spontaneous parking on city streets and adjacent territories.
